Stage set design
Since the early 90s the acid jazz band, Jamiroquai, has been performing across the world to different audiences. Their music and stage presence are unique to them and therefore a design inspiration.
This project proposes the design of a concert stage that follows along with the performance and showcases the band’s DNA, inspired by their music video for the song Automaton.
STAGE DESIGN - FRONT VIEW
Using 11 panels distributed along the dome arc, the design allows them to be moved independently and smoothly as the performance goes on.
Each panel is attached to the metal structure through a single-axis rotation system, which allows them to be set to any angle as needed.
